About the artist
The artist, born in 1952, studied from 1972 to 1979 at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart with Prof. KRH Sonderborg. Since 1984, Michael Urtz has had numerous successful exhibitions at home and abroad.
The paintings by Michael Urtz captivate with lively color symphonies, which in the colors red, yellow and green on ivory-colored backgrounds just sparkle with life. They appear as if from another world or a dream, in which every now and then a thought flashes up in numerous shades of colour. Michael Urtz died in 2021, he lived and worked in Stuttgart.
