Alexander Höller, Love Me, 2025

Alexander Höller
ECHO
21.09. – 23.11.2025 Vernissage 21.09.2025, 3 pm

With “ECHO”, Alexander Höller explores the phenomenon of artistic maturation and focuses on the duality of retrospection and progression. The key work in the exhibition is the eponymous sculpture “Echo”, which is being shown for the first time and marks a first in Alexander Höller’s career. Having previously subscribed to painting and smaller installations, the 29-year-old has created his first large-scale sculpture with this work, which was created in response to his series of works “The Silent Scream”. Inspired by Edvard Munch’s “Scream”, Höller created this iconic series in 2021 – in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic – which functions as an allegory for the uncertainty, stigmatization and hysteria of this time. With his explicit imagery, which can be interpreted as a provocative and committed outcry against universal grievances, Alexander Höller struck a chord like almost no other artist at the time. This was to be the prelude to his international career.
