Christiane Grimm
About the artist

Christiane Grimm, born in Stuttgart in 1957, is one of the outstanding representatives of contemporary light and color space art. Since the 1980s, she has been exploring the interactions of light, color and space in her works. She creates poetic structures and illusory architecture from light, floating surfaces – achromatic or colorful.
In her works, Grimm creates a calculated and at the same time vital pictorial world through the arrangement of different glasses and materials. The interruption of one material by another undermines any attempt at a clear perspective classification. In addition, optical effects irritate spatial perception and create an open field between painting, sculpture and architecture.
Grimm’s works have been presented in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including at the Mannheimer Kunstverein, the Heitsch Galerie in Munich and Bluerider ART in Taipei. Her works are represented in important public and private collections, such as the Würth Collection, Deutsche Bank and the City of Heidelberg.
With this exhibition, we invite you to discover Christiane Grimm’s fascinating spaces of light and color and to be inspired by the subtle power of her works.
